Day 1 Terra-cotta Warriors - Big Goose Pagoda - Muslim Street
You will be picked up at 8:30am from your centrally located hotel by a professional English-speaking guide.
First, visit the Terra-cotta Warriors—dubbed the "Eighth Wonder of the World." Discovered in 1974 by farmers digging a well near the First Qin Emperor’s tomb, this 2,200-year-old underground army (from the Qin Dynasty) is one of China’s most significant 20th-century archaeological finds. Standing before thousands of life-size warriors in the museum, you’ll be stunned by their lifelike presence, evoking the lost Qin Empire.Lunch will be at a local Chinese restaurant.
Afterward, drive to Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Da Ci'en Temple—one of China’s most famous Buddhist pagodas. Built 1,300 years ago, it stores scriptures and relics brought back from India (ancient Tianzhu) by the Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang, whose journey inspired the pagoda’s name.Finally, spend 30 minutes exploring Muslim Street in downtown Xi’an. This vibrant quarter lets you experience local life: watch Muslim vendors cook kababs and pickled beef, browse dried fruits and local goods.
Day 2 Hangyang Tomb - City Wall - Bell Tower & Drum Tower
You will be picked up at 8:30am or 9:00am from your centrally located hotel.
It takes about 1 hour to reach Han Yangling Tomb (Jingdi's Tomb), 30km north of Xi’an near the airport. This 2,100-year-old burial site of Emperor Jingdi and Empress Wangzhi is China’s only underground museum—explore it in the morning.Lunch will be at a local Chinese restaurant. In the afternoon, visit two city landmarks:
Xi’an City Wall: A 600-year-old, well-preserved structure (13.7km perimeter) dividing the city into old and new areas. Climb up to walk, bike, or enjoy panoramic views of the old town, soaking in Ming Dynasty history.
Bell Tower & Drum Tower: 600-year-old symbols of Xi’an, located in the city’s central commercial district. The area features landscaped grounds and shopping options.
The tour ends with drop-off at your hotel or a requested location.
